The jury also heard forensic details concerning Ashley’s demise. A pathologist detailed her autopsy findings, pointing out the closely situated gunshot wounds to the back of her head, signifying a close-range attack. However, the exact distance from the gun was undetermined.
This narrative accompanied numerous testimonies aiming to discredit Flynn’s account of the incident being a break-in. Witnesses challenged the legitimacy of the alleged forced entry, remarking on certain atypical damage patterns.
