Filmmaker Lexi Alexander’s Controversial Reaction to Tragic Stabbing

Filmmaker Lexi Alexander made headlines with an X post seemingly applauding the death of Bank of America executive Erin Piacenti. She referenced the accused killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO, Luigi Mangione, in her post.

Erin Piacenti was identified as the victim of a fatal stabbing in Times Square, New York City. This attack also injured another person before police shot and killed the suspect. Piacenti recently returned to work after taking five months off to care for her newborn.

Alexander, known for directing “Green Street Hooligans” and “Punisher: War Zone,” shared a headline about the incident along with an altered image of the Batman signal featuring Mangione’s face.

“Hasbara bots out in full swing just like the first time we asked people to boycott BofA,” Alexander noted, alleging Israeli public relations involvement.

Another post by Alexander retweeted a comment from a woman who expressed indifference toward Piacenti’s death and claimed to receive death threats. Alexander responded, stating, “They released the hasbara bot farm just like the first time when we asked people to boycott Bofa.”

Alexander’s remarks echoed a similar wave of support for Mangione after his alleged crime in 2024. This support has sparked debate about justifying violence, a topic discussed by journalist Douglas Murray on “America’s Newsroom” in 2025.

Murray raised concerns about Americans justifying street violence. He questioned, “Do people have the right, or should they be justified, in taking things into their own hands and murdering other Americans in cold blood on the street? Yes or no?”
