Fundraising Success for Texas Democrat James Talarico
Texas Democratic State Representative James Talarico has announced a significant fundraising accomplishment for the third quarter. Between July and September, Talarico raised $64 million, setting a record for a Senate candidate during this period of an election cycle. His campaign highlighted a total collection of over $134 million, primarily from contributions of $100 or less from more than 1.3 million supporters.
In a statement, Talarico emphasized the role of grassroots contributors in challenging billionaire influence in politics and reducing living costs for working families.
Talarico’s opponent in the Senate race, GOP State Attorney General Ken Paxton, reported a total of $18 million in funds for the same period.
Both candidates are expected to file their campaign finance reports to the Federal Election Commission soon.
