On Friday, a tragic shooting in Erie, Pennsylvania, resulted in the deaths of eight individuals. According to the police, the shooter also died and currently, there is no existing threat to the public.
Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah expressed his shock over the incident. He stated, “I have not seen anything like this in my 28-plus years.” The Chief remarked on the unprecedented devastation and loss of life for the city.
In response to the tragedy, Governor Josh Shapiro informed that he extended his administration’s “full support” to Erie Mayor Daria Devlin. Erie is located approximately 117 miles north of Pittsburgh.
