St. Charles North’s football team benefits from a unique quarterback situation featuring sophomore Dashel Von Qualen and senior Landon Conroy. Both players embrace their roles, contributing significantly in the first two weeks of the season. Von Qualen sees himself as the big-play threat, while both quarterbacks collaborate effectively on the field.

In a 56-21 victory against South Elgin, Von Qualen demonstrated his explosive potential. He completed his first three passes for touchdowns and amassed 96 rushing yards on six carries. Von Qualen completed 4 of 4 passes for 153 yards and scored on a 35-yard run. Conroy also contributed significantly, completing 4 of 6 passes for 120 yards, including a touchdown, and running for 45 yards with an additional touchdown.

Team Contributions

Beyond the quarterbacks, other team members made vital contributions. Jameson Walters returned a kickoff 94 yards for a touch down and caught two 39-yard passes. Tommy Vendl secured a 1-yard TD run and a 71-yard touchdown reception. For South Elgin, freshman Jeremiah Torres returned a kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown, while Carter McDonald added a 1-yard touchdown run.
