Dramatic Escape: Suspect’s Headfirst Dive Through Window Stuns Deputy

19 minutes ago 0

An Oklahoma County deputy experienced a surprising encounter with a burglary suspect who executed a daring escape move that astonished everyone.

On October 1, deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a vacant house on Sunset Lane. They found Rayven Lee Wooten, a 24-year-old from Nicoma Park, allegedly stealing copper wire from a dishwasher inside the residence.

Unexpected Confrontation

Bodycam footage released by the sheriff’s office shows the deputy confronting Wooten and issuing commands to take his hands out of his pockets, turn around, and get on his knees. Despite the deputy’s warnings, Wooten sprinted through the kitchen and dove headfirst through a closed living room window, leaving the deputy stunned.

“You’re not listening,” the deputy warned. “Turn around and get on your knees. You will get shot.”

After Wooten’s escape attempt, the deputy radioed, “He just bailed out the window. He’s on foot.”

Unintended Evidence

Wooten managed to flee momentarily but left a significant piece of evidence behind: his backpack containing his driver’s license. This oversight allowed deputies to locate him later.

The sheriff’s office humorously remarked, “A suspect took the phrase ‘Make a break for it’ a little too literally!” and noted he “missed his calling as a Hollywood stuntman.”

Viewer Reactions

The video attracted comments from viewers who reacted to the deputy’s shocked response and the incriminating evidence left behind. One wrote, “So he did all that, then left his identification behind lol,” while another noted the deputy’s “total disbelief.”

Officials revealed Wooten faces charges including burglary, resisting arrest, and obstruction of an officer.
