Flowers placed at Parton’s star were removed before the damage was noted. This was done as part of scheduled repairs organized by the Hollywood Historic Trust, which oversees the maintenance of the Walk of Fame stars. The repair process is currently underway, with the completion and polishing expected on Friday, allowing fans to revisit and honor Parton’s star.
