Diane Farr cherishes her Sundays after intense 14-hour workdays. The ‘Fire Country’ actress enjoys spending time with friends, paddleboarding, e-biking, and embracing the peaceful setting of the Pacific Northwest.

Farr, known for her role as Sharon Leone in the TV series ‘Fire Country,’ shared her recent life changes with Fox News Digital. After her children left for college, Farr felt free to leave Los Angeles and has now settled in rural Washington.

I moved to rural Washington to buy a pretty house that was affordable compared to Los Angeles. I live right by the water, perfect for paddleboarding and e-biking, enjoying the stunning Pacific Northwest weather, she explained.

While Farr currently works in Vancouver, she plans to split her time between there and Spain. Fire Country, where Farr portrays a Cal Fire Division Chief and mother of Bode Leone, films in Vancouver.

The series is set to release its fifth season on October 9, 2026, on CBS, with the next episodes streaming on Paramount+.

Farr’s decision to move followed her children leaving for their own pursuits.

The permission came from my children being old enough to live elsewhere. After a pandemic pause and finally having teenagers in the house, it felt right to take drama roles in Vancouver, she recalled.

Farr envisions her ‘third act’ focused on finding joy.

My third act involves living six months in Spain and six in Vancouver, aiming for ‘joie de vie’, she stated.

Farr announced her move from Los Angeles after 30 years, sharing it on Instagram. Her acting career began in the ’90s, rising to fame with a role in ‘Roswell’ in 1999. Then, she secured roles in ‘Numb3rs,’ ‘Splitting Up Together,’ and now, ‘Fire Country.’

Living in Los Angeles also allowed Farr to start a family and enjoy a vibrant lifestyle. She has three children: son Beckett, 18, and twin daughters Coco and Sawyer, 17, from her previous marriage to Seung Yong Chung.

In ‘Fire Country’ Season 5, viewers can expect more dynamic changes for Farr’s character Sharon. After experiencing loss last season, Sharon now enters an invigorating chapter.

For fans, this signals an exciting evolution for one of the show’s beloved characters.
