30 minutes ago 0

Corey Pavin, a prominent professional golfer, has shared that his wife, Lisa, must resume hospital treatment for cancer. Although Lisa concluded chemotherapy earlier this year, Corey revealed her cancer never fully disappeared.

Back in February, Corey announced Lisa, aged 52, completed what they thought was her last round of chemotherapy. However, recent updates on social media highlight the need for further cell-based gene therapy treatment.

Neither Corey nor Lisa have disclosed the specific type of cancer she faces. In an Instagram post, Corey wrote, “Seven plus months ago, I posted that Lisa had her last chemotherapy. We found out a couple months ago that her cancer never went away completely.” Despite this setback, Corey remains hopeful about the outcome.

“Over the last two months and after multiple visits to The Mayo Clinic, Lisa is getting her CAR-T infusion today. We are hoping and praying that this will kick her cancer’s a–!” Corey stated. The physical and emotional demands of the disease are evident, yet he commends Lisa’s strength and the vital support provided by their medical team and friends.

To the doctors, nurses, and everyone at The Mayo Clinic, a heartfelt thank you for your care and empathy,” he expresses.

He extends gratitude to Lisa’s friends for their prayers and support, which have made a significant impact. Public reactions to Corey’s updates are overwhelmingly positive, with numerous well-wishers, including former athletes like Troy Aikman, Kenny Lofton, and Teemu Selane, offering encouragement.

Despite his wife’s challenges, Corey continues to dedicate time to his career. Recently, he participated in the Sanford International at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
