Controversy Over Remarks on Israeli Prime Minister Following Terror Attack

A survivor of the terror attack at the Nova music festival, Mazal Tazazo, has responded strongly to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s remarks about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a video shared by radio host Jason Rantz, Tazazo described Mamdani’s comments as “dangerous.” Mamdani accused Netanyahu of being a “war criminal” and “the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people.”

Mamdani’s statements follow his assertion that he supports the International Criminal Court’s stance that Netanyahu should face charges for alleged crimes. He urged the federal government to detain Netanyahu if he visits New York for the U.N. General Assembly.

Mamdani said, “Benjamin Netanyahu should be arrested and tried for his crimes.”

Tazazo expressed her shock at Mamdani’s video, refuting the accusation of genocide. She pointed out that civilian casualties occur because “terrorists hide behind their people,” highlighting claims by the Israel Defense Forces that Hamas uses civilian structures for military purposes.

New York City Mayor Mamdani stated he explored legal options for arresting Netanyahu during a potential visit. However, he noted that New York lacks the authority to execute such a warrant, although he called on the federal government to act if necessary.

Rantz commented that Tazazo “absolutely unloaded on Zohran Mamdani for threatening to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu.” Tazazo offered an invitation to Mamdani to visit Israel and learn directly from her and others affected by the conflict.

Mamdani, in his video, alleged that Netanyahu is responsible for significant civilian harm, including fatalities, injuries to children, and the obstruction of humanitarian assistance. He accused Netanyahu’s administration of targeting medical facilities and creating dire conditions for civilians.
