Lincoln-Way East vs. Homewood-Flossmoor

Ryan Manzke of Lincoln-Way East had a standout performance in their game against Homewood-Flossmoor. The Griffins’ defense came close to a shutout thanks to Manzke’s efforts. He not only contributed with six tackles but also scored a touchdown from an interception. Lincoln-Way East triumphed with a convincing 38-7 win.

Geneva vs. St. Charles North

Geneva’s Nelson Wendell made a strong return after injury, playing a crucial role in their match against St. Charles North. Wendell ran for 95 yards and scored two touchdowns, leading Geneva to a significant 49-17 victory in the DuKane Conference.

Providence vs. Joliet Catholic

Isaac Patton of Providence delivered a memorable play with a 96-yard interception return for a touchdown. This key moment in the final seconds of the first half contributed to Providence’s 27-0 win over Joliet Catholic in a Catholic League crossover match.

Libertyville vs. Warren

Kaden Butt of Libertyville made significant contributions on both offense and defense. The Wildcats’ game against Warren was interrupted by lightning but resumed the following day. With a 72-yard touchdown catch and numerous defensive plays, Butt helped secure a 21-6 victory.

Lincoln-Way West vs. Andrew

Lincoln-Way West relied on the skills of sophomore Davey Koszulinski at quarterback. Originally a receiver, Koszulinski stepped in to cover for the injured Jacob Howard. He completed 6 of 8 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns, leading his team to a 31-6 win.

Hersey vs. Neuqua Valley

Jackson Travis of Hersey took charge of the offense during their game at Neuqua Valley. The junior running back gained 165 yards on nine carries in the first half. Hersey’s strong start led to a commanding 49-14 victory.

Wheaton North vs. Lake Park

Under scorching conditions, Wheaton North’s Mac Murray excelled against Lake Park. Murray rushed for 210 yards on 34 carries and scored three touchdowns. His efforts ensured Wheaton North’s 24-15 win in the DuKane Conference opener.

Crown Point vs. Merrillville
