This meeting took place on Monday in Cardiff, Wales, where Northern Irish First Minister Michelle O’Neill, Welsh First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth, Scottish First Minister John Swinney, and Irish opposition leader Mary Lou McDonald signed a joint declaration. They emphasized the importance of the right to self-determination.
This declaration urges the British government to “prepare for, plan and facilitate” their independence efforts at a crucial time when the topic is gaining international support.
