Starting June 1, a pilot program in the Boston area will allow passengers to avoid the busy departures terminal and security lanes.
Customer representatives from Landline will assist passengers at airline check-in desks at Boston Logan International Airport’s remote terminal. This initiative is part of a significant effort by the Massachusetts Port Authority, the entity in charge of Boston Logan International Airport, to introduce the first remote Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint in the United States.
The Massachusetts Port Authority has started accepting ticket reservations as of yesterday, signaling the beginning of this new and innovative service.
