Archaeologists Progress in Noah’s Ark Search with 3D Model

35 minutes ago 0

The search for the remains of Noah’s Ark in Turkey’s Durupınar Formation has taken a step forward. An international team, including U.S.-based Noah’s Ark Scans, has completed phase one of their investigation.

Utilizing ground-penetrating radar, the team constructed a 3D model of the targeted boat-shaped formation. This model aims to provide insights into whether the formation contains the biblical vessel. The group has shared images of this model, highlighting their latest progress.

Noah’s Ark Scans, a collaborative team of archaeologists, geologists, and soil scientists, began their on-site drilling last month. They have extracted samples potentially holding wood remnants crucial for their research. The aim is to challenge previous conclusions that describe the formation as a natural rock formation.

The team announced the conclusion of phase one just before beginning phase two. According to founder Andrew Jones, phase two will extend the initial research. This phase will utilize additional geophysical survey technologies and focus on areas not yet core drilled. The team’s plans hinge on the results of ongoing soil sample analyses.

Jones anticipates that the interpretations of phase one findings will guide adjustments in phase two’s scope. Comprehensive test results and final reports are expected by April or May next year.

This story is evolving, and new information will be shared as it becomes available.
