Tragic Attack and Fallout

Fourteen people have died following a strike by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which occurred on Oct. 8, 2026. The attack has raised tensions in the Middle East. Former National Security Council Chief of Staff Alex Gray discussed President Donald Trump’s reactions to these events. Trump has also announced an energy ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

Controversy in Wrestling

At Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s (TNA) pay-per-view event, Bound for Glory, several championships changed hands in thrilling matches. However, the event was overshadowed by an incident that left a mark on TNA.

Pro wrestler Max Caster made his debut in a match against Moose. Known for performing rap during his entrance, Caster’s lyrics referenced the recent attack in Riyadh. “… And it’s the firing squad. I drop bombs. You don’t even have to fly to Riyadh,” he rapped, which led to immediate backlash on social media.

TNA’s Response

On Monday, TNA issued a statement addressing the situation. “During Sunday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people. Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize.”

The company announced that all content related to Max Caster had been deleted from their social media channels. They also declared that Caster would no longer be wrestling for TNA.

Future Precautions

TNA stated they are taking steps to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. This includes removing the contentious segment from replays and their social channels.
