Adam Copeland to Compete at Arena Mexico for AEW Grand Slam Event

Adam Copeland, a notable figure in professional wrestling, is set to compete at Arena México for the first time. He will participate in an eight-man tag team match during All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) Grand Slam: Mexico event on Wednesday night. The match will feature Copeland teaming up with Christian Cage, AEW’s tag team champions, alongside Matt and Nick Jackson. Their opponents include Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, Pac, and Wheeler Yuta.

Copeland expressed excitement about performing at the prestigious venue, sharing his thoughts on Instagram. He wrote, “Tonight I get to perform for the first time in The Wrestling Cathedral, Arena Mexico. The last time I had a match in Mexico was 2008. Mexico we got some catching up to do! I love Lucha Libre. Everything about it. The masks, the mystique, the pageantry. Can’t wait to get out there. See ya soon Mexico, bring your voices.”

Copeland previously listed venues he hoped to perform in, with Arena México, Wembley Stadium in London, Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, and the Tokyo Dome in Japan topping his list. He anticipates checking Wembley Stadium off his list later this month when AEW hosts its premier pay-per-view, All In, at the venue.

Copeland and Christian Cage secured the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Double or Nothing in Queens, New York. They won in an intense I Quit match against FTR, maintaining their reign and preparing to enter Wembley Stadium as champions, provided they face any strong contenders.
