The White House released the results of President Donald Trump’s annual physical exam on Friday night. Earlier in the week, the president visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his yearly checkup.
The exam involved consultations with 22 specialty providers from various academic institutions. Trump’s vital statistics included a weight of 238 pounds, a blood pressure reading of 105/71 mmHg, and a temperature of 98.7 degrees Fahrenheit.
His eye exam results were within normal limits, while his ear, nose, and throat exam was normal except for scarring on his right ear from a previous gunshot injury.
Captain Sean P. Barbabella, Trump’s physician, mentioned that an AI-enhanced ECG analysis revealed the president’s estimated cardiac age is around 14 years younger than his actual age. Trump will turn 80 on June 14. “Overall, cardiac function is normal, and circulation to the extremities remains intact,” the memo stated.
The release of the physical comes amid ongoing attention to Trump’s health and appearance. Both the president and his medical team consistently assure that there are no underlying health issues related to the appearance of his hands.
In a previous physical exam in April 2025, Barbabella noted that Trump “remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function.” The White House attributes visible discoloration and bruising on Trump’s hands to frequent handshaking, aspirin use, and minor soft-tissue irritation.
The memo from Barbabella reiterated that the bruising is “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking in the setting of aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention.” He described this as a “common” and “benign effect” of aspirin usage.
The memo also highlighted slight lower leg swelling, noting an improvement from the previous year. The summary concluded by stating that Trump “remains in excellent health” and “is fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”
