Drew Carey Criticizes Spencer Pratt’s Los Angeles Mayoral Campaign

4 weeks ago 0

Drew Carey, host of ‘The Price is Right,’ recently voiced his criticism of Spencer Pratt’s candidacy for Mayor of Los Angeles on social media. Carey urged residents to reconsider supporting Pratt in the upcoming June primaries, expressing doubt about Pratt’s suitability for the role.

Carey stated, ‘Anyone who votes for, or endorses Spencer Pratt for Mayor of LA needs to get their head out of their a–.’ He described Pratt as ‘a serial scammer without a soul or moral compass’ and advised voters to support a more competent candidate. Representatives for both Pratt and Carey did not respond to requests for comments from Fox News Digital.

Spencer Pratt, known for his role on ‘The Hills,’ started his campaign for mayor following dissatisfaction with current Mayor Karen Bass’s handling of the Palisades wildfire in 2025, which destroyed his home. His campaign launched in January with a focus on addressing the city’s management of such disasters.

Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, along with other property owners, filed a lawsuit against the city and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), alleging mismanagement during the fire. They claim LADWP drained the reservoir as a cost-saving measure, worsening the fire’s impact.

Despite criticism and political challenges, Pratt urged LA residents to ‘think bigger for LA’ and expressed pride in the city’s potential. He shared on social media, ‘We don’t have to accept the filth and the decline. Vote for Pratt. Vote for LA. Vote TODAY. Let’s clean this city together.’

Pratt’s campaign has faced scrutiny due to his Republican status and endorsement from former President Donald Trump. Trump told reporters he was curious about Pratt’s chances in California, given what he referred to as ‘rigged’ voting systems.

Pratt stated his dedication to the people rather than political parties, noting, ‘Everyone is trying to claim me for their tribe.’ Pratt identifies as an independent candidate, emphasizing his role as a family man and concerned citizen.

Pratt officially announced his candidacy at a rally in Pacific Palisades, marking the one-year anniversary of a fire that devastated the area. LA Council member Nithya Raman is also contending in the race. The election is nonpartisan, with a runoff scheduled in November if no candidate achieves over 50% of the vote in June.
