Excitement is building for the third installment of the gritty Sicario film franchise. This series, created by Taylor Sheridan, is praised as one of cinema’s top productions of the past fifteen years, especially the original film released in 2015. The confirmation of a third movie is out, yet Taylor Sheridan will not return to scriptwriting duties. Instead, Steven Knight has taken on this task. Josh Brolin discussed Sheridan’s absence in writing Sicario 3. Brolin, who plays CIA operator Matt Graver, will be back, along with Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt. While Blunt was not in the sequel, she had a crucial role in the original movie. In a conversation with ScreenRant, Brolin provided updates on the script’s status. He shared that the third film’s writing is still in development.
Brolin expressed eagerness about reuniting with Del Toro and Blunt. “Working together is always great,” he commented.
While a release date for the third Sicario movie has yet to be announced, it promises a lengthy wait before its theatrical debut.
