Steven Borden made his debut at an All Elite Wrestling (AEW) pay-per-view event alongside Darby Allin. They aimed to secure a spot as the No. 1 contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championship. The duo faced Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher at the All Out event.
Borden, son of the wrestling icon Sting, mirrors his father’s presence in the ring. During the match, Borden and Knight executed a daring maneuver from opposite turnbuckles. Unfortunately, Borden’s landing seemed troublesome as he appeared to strike his head on the mat.
The match paused, and the referee declared Knight and Fletcher the victors. Borden received immediate medical care. AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone provided an update, stating Borden was conscious and responsive and had been taken to the hospital for further checks.
AEW owner Tony Khan, during the post-event press conference, reassured fans about Borden’s health. “Thankfully, Steven Borden is awake and responsive at the hospital. He underwent a CT scan, and all tests returned good results,” Khan shared. He hoped Borden would return home the next day.
Knight and Fletcher’s victory sets them up for a match against the Young Bucks, who recently claimed the tag team titles. They defeated Adam Copeland and Christian Cage and Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler in a three-way ladder showdown.
