Week 3 College Football Highlights and AP Poll Rankings

Week 3 of the college football season has concluded, bringing fresh updates to the AP Poll. The standout performance came from Ole Miss, who exacted revenge on Lane Kiffin’s LSU team in Oxford. This anticipated matchup met expectations and propelled the unbeaten Rebels into the Top 5 of the AP Poll.

Mississippi State made a significant jump, moving from unranked to No. 24 after defeating South Carolina on the road. Conversely, Texas A&M suffered a significant drop following a surprising home defeat against Kentucky.

Highlighting the action, Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback Kamario Taylor scrambled past South Carolina’s Kelvin Hunter during the game’s second half. The top three teams remained unchanged, with Texas holding onto the top spot after a notable victory over Ohio State in Week 2.

The Big Ten also maintains a strong presence with seven teams represented as they move into Week 4.

Week 4 promises pivotal matches that could shape College Football Playoff aspirations. Key matchups include Tennessee hosting top-ranked Texas, Ole Miss traveling to Florida, LSU facing off against Texas A&M, Mississippi State going against Missouri, Iowa clashing with Michigan, and USC hosting Oregon.
