NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Telescope Prepares for Launch

The Nancy Grace Roman telescope, named after NASA’s first chief of astronomy and one of its pioneering female executives, is almost set for launch. This significant project will soon initiate its journey from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The telescope was carefully assembled in a large clean room in Maryland. It was then transported to Florida via barge. Now, it sits inside a towering 230-foot-tall rocket, preparing to embark on its mission.

Once launched, the telescope will travel to an orbital destination a million miles from Earth. It’s expected to contribute greatly to NASA’s exploration endeavors.
