NORAD Intercepts Aircraft Over New Jersey

3 hours ago 0

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) announced that F-16 fighter jets intercepted multiple general aviation aircraft over Bedminster, New Jersey, on Sunday. This action followed reports of the planes violating temporary flight restrictions in the area.

The incident involved two aircraft according to the 1st Air Force’s Air Forces Northern. NORAD officials confirmed that the general aviation aircraft were safely escorted out of the restricted zone by NORAD aircraft.

An example of the F-16’s deployment is evident, as a U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft conducted operations in the U.S. Central Command area on August 5, 2026. The flight restrictions were set over Bedminster in anticipation of President Trump’s visit to his golf club.

This situation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
