5 days ago 0

Singer Carly Simon has announced on Instagram that she has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. In her post, she shared that her initial symptoms included difficulty walking and deteriorating mobility.

Parkinson’s disease primarily affects movement, but mood issues are also common among patients. Symptoms often start gradually, sometimes beginning with a barely noticeable tremor in just one hand. Stiffness or slowing of movement is also common.

The number of people living with Parkinson’s disease is expected to rise significantly in the coming years. By 2050, experts predict over 25 million individuals worldwide will be affected, representing a 112 percent increase since 2021. This highlights the growing need for widespread awareness and resources to support those impacted by the disease.
