Arrest Made in Decades-Old Fairbanks Cold Case

Christopher Popps, a 54-year-old resident of Michigan, was recently taken into custody due to an active warrant related to a cold case from 1993. This case involves the disappearance of Patrick Orville Dearth, who was reported missing in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Dearth, who was 34 years old at the time of his disappearance, lived in Fairbanks. His sudden disappearance went unsolved for more than 30 years. Recently, the remains of Dearth were found inside a barrel at the bottom of a steep embankment near a highway.

The arrest marks a significant development in a mysterious case that has left many questions unanswered for decades.
