At a dedication ceremony for Barack Obama’s presidential library, Joe Biden experienced a surprising moment. As the ceremony concluded on Thursday, Biden lingered on the stage while others exited. Video footage captured him adjusting his sunglasses and scanning the crowd. He called out for his granddaughter, who was seated among attendees. According to a source, he wanted to locate his granddaughter.
During the event, Obama, alongside Biden, was joined by prominent figures like Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and several entertainers and political personalities. The occasion marked the opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
This incident comes amid fresh concerns about Biden’s health and his initial plan to run for a second term in 2024. At a New York event, Hillary Clinton discussed Biden’s 2024 campaign, criticizing it as a serious error. She suggested that a competitive primary might have strengthened the Democrats’ position. Clinton believed another candidate could have defeated Donald Trump more effectively.
Despite pressure from Democratic leaders to withdraw following a poor debate with Trump, Biden continued his campaign for over three weeks. Meanwhile, Jill Biden expressed worries about her husband’s health after that widely criticized debate performance. She speculated he might have experienced a medical issue and raised doubts about continuing his re-election efforts.
Biden is also involved in legal troubles with the Justice Department over the release of audio recordings. These recordings feature insights from former Special Counsel Robert Hur, focusing on Biden’s handling of classified documents. Hur described Biden, then president, as elderly with a weak memory, sparking debate about his mental capabilities.
Currently, Biden, now 83 years old, is dealing with Stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.
