Odell Beckham Jr., known for his standout performances, might soon make an NFL return. He has scheduled a workout session with the New York Giants, according to Jordan Schultz. Despite not participating in the league since 2024, the former All-Pro receiver shows readiness for a comeback.
The Giants lost WR Gunner Olszewski to a torn Achilles recently. This development likely prompted their interest in Beckham Jr. The wide receiver previously spent five seasons with the Giants after being the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Beckham Jr.’s last game appearance came on December 8, 2024, with the Miami Dolphins. The team released him five days later. If he plays for the Giants in Week 1 of this upcoming season, it will mark 644 days since his last NFL game.
During his time with the Miami Dolphins, Beckham Jr. recorded nine receptions for 55 yards in nine games. His career stats include 575 receptions, 7,987 yards, and 59 touchdowns over ten years.
Most of Beckham Jr.’s successful plays occurred in New York. During his initial tenure with the Giants, he achieved 390 receptions, 5,476 yards, and 44 touchdowns in 59 games.
If New York signs Beckham Jr., he will join fellow wide receivers Malachi Fields, a 2026 third-round pick, Malik Nabers, a 2024 first-round pick, and free agent Darnell Mooney. The Giants struggled with their passing game last season, ranking 21st with 204.4 yards per game. Their top receiver, Wandale Robinson, departed for the Tennessee Titans in the offseason.
