4 weeks ago 0

WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield, also known as JBL, is stepping into the world of social media with BZZR. After decades in professional wrestling, he is shifting his focus to this emerging platform designed for sports fans.

BZZR aims to connect sports enthusiasts while eliminating unwanted noise. The platform has attracted various notable wrestling figures, including MVP, Kayla Becker, and Dwayne Swayze, to join its ranks.

JBL shared with Fox News Digital his reasons for partnering with BZZR. His interest piqued when his beloved Texas Rangers became involved with the company. “I have a friend, ‘Shooter’ Chris Dunn, affiliated with BZZR. I’m a big Texas Rangers fan, and their collaboration with BZZR caught my attention,” Layfield said. He fondly recalled spending time with his grandfather, a Rangers fan, listening to games on the radio, which deepened his connection to the team.

Layfield also appreciates BZZR’s focus on sports content only. “BZZR is the world’s first streaming and social media platform exclusively for sports,” he remarked. “You can engage without encountering unnecessary negativity or irrelevant discussions.” He is impressed by the requirement for users to use their real names and photos, which helps minimize anonymous trolling.

Beyond his involvement with BZZR, Layfield’s illustrious wrestling career includes being the 20th Triple Crown champion and the 10th Grand Slam champion in WWE history. He has also served as a commentator for AAA Lucha Libre Worldwide.
