The Washington Commanders faced significant setbacks during their game against the Seattle Seahawks. Linebacker Leo Chenal was carted off the field after suffering a neck injury. Despite the alarming scene, Chenal managed to move his extremities, offering some reassurance as he exited the field.
Chenal’s injury occurred while tackling Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson. Unfortunately, Chenal’s tackling technique contributed to the injury, as he led with his head, causing neck compression. After the hit, he lay motionless for a brief moment, causing concern among teammates and fans. Medical personnel quickly attended to him, placing him on a spine board before carting him off.
Coach Dan Quinn was visibly concerned during the incident, reflecting the growing pressures on the team. The Commanders are already dealing with quarterback Jayden Daniels’ elbow dislocation from a previous game. In that match, Daniels had to leave the field with an apparent arm injury. Despite these challenges, the Commanders have shown resilience.
In the current game against the Seahawks, the Commanders led 24-10 well into the second half, with Marcus Mariota stepping up for the injured Daniels and throwing three touchdown passes. The team continues to push forward in the face of adversity.
