All current officeholders seek reelection in Virginia’s U.S. House districts this year. Registered voters will have the opportunity to select candidates in these districts on Tuesday. The political maps from two years ago remain in use for this election cycle.
In recent developments, the Supreme Court of Virginia nullified a voter-approved statewide referendum in April. The referendum aimed to establish new district boundaries that would benefit the Democratic Party. This decision keeps the existing district lines in place.
