Trump’s Latest Medical Exam Report

3 weeks ago 0

Donald Trump’s physician announced that the president is in “excellent health” following a medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Sean Barbabella’s report, released on Friday, highlights that Trump is “fully fit” to continue his role as commander in chief.

During the medical exam, Trump underwent a CT scan and other heart imaging procedures. He was also screened for cancer and other preventative measures by a team of 22 specialists. Despite gaining 14 pounds since April 2025, weighing in at 238 pounds, his cognitive and physical health were deemed excellent.

Trump, standing 6-foot-3, has a body mass index of 29.7, which is near the threshold for obesity. The report noted bruising on his hands due to frequent handshaking, recommending a switch to low-dose aspirin therapy.

“His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings and public engagements, supports his well-being,” Dr. Barbabella stated.

The president was again given the Montreal Cognitive Assessment to screen for dementia. He scored 30 out of 30, consistent with previous years. His cholesterol levels improved, reducing to 143 with medication, specifically rosuvastatin and ezetimibe, maintaining his heart health.

The recent exam is Trump’s fourth publicly disclosed medical evaluation since returning to office. Trump, who is approaching his 80th birthday, contrasts his health against concerns previously raised over his predecessor, President Joe Biden’s age, who was 82 when leaving office.

Despite criticism of past health reports for their lack of detail, Trump continues to discuss his well-being to alleviate concerns related to his age. While he admits a preference for fast food, he frequently plays golf and jokes about feeling as healthy as decades ago.
