Trump Secretly Transferred from Air Force One

1 hour ago 0

A report reveals that President Donald Trump was discreetly moved from Air Force One to another aircraft due to a threat from Iran. The public witnessed him boarding Air Force One, but he was later shifted to a different plane. This maneuver involved the use of a catering truck and a second military aircraft to shield him from potential assassination attempts.

White House communications director Steven Cheung stated, “As the President has said recently, there are many enemies of America who have their sights on him, and we use every tool at our disposal to address those threats.” Cheung made this comment to NewsNation on Monday.

Details of the Transfer

The incident unfolded as Trump left the NATO summit in July. Military officials received a threat and implemented a plan for his safety. While it appeared that Trump boarded the older Air Force One with reporters and White House staff, he was secretly transported using a catering truck to stock the plane’s supplies. He then boarded a smaller military plane.

After landing, Trump returned to Air Force One and departed for the United Kingdom. He later traveled back to the United States on the Qatari-gifted Air Force One. Speaking afterward, Trump identified himself as Iran’s “number one target.”

Associated Press photos show catering trucks parked near Air Force One at Ankara International Airport in Turkey on July 8, 2026. These images captured the motorcade’s arrival and departure as Trump attended the NATO summit.

Security Considerations

Prior to this, Trump announced plans to fly back on the older Air Force One model to display the new version to troops stationed in the U.K.

The aircraft transfer occurred shortly after the U.S. revealed intentions to resume strikes on Iran, nullifying an initial deal. A U.S. Air Force representative confirmed that Air Force One remains secure and technologically advanced to meet presidential demands. “No risk was taken in security, safety or mission communications, but the collective team made trades on some of the less commonly used mission sets,” the officials noted.

The event underscores ongoing geopolitical tensions and the complexities of presidential security. Trump’s ability to switch aircraft underscores the multifaceted approach needed to address threats against high-profile figures.
