Search Continues for Missing Nancy Guthrie

3 hours ago 0

President Donald Trump recently expressed hope for the successful location of Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of ‘Today’ co-host Savannah Guthrie. This case has gained significant national attention since her disappearance nearly five months ago. Speaking at the Reading Regional Airport in Pennsylvania, Trump shared his thoughts with reporters, stating, ‘I hope they find her. That family has gone through hell.’

The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie from Arizona enters its 20th week. Savannah Guthrie has issued repeated emotional pleas, urging the public to provide any information. During a recent segment on the ‘Today’ show, she stated, ‘Somebody knows something. We are in agony.’

In a show of solidarity, a sign reading ‘Nancy Guthrie Desparecida’ was placed by the group Madres Buscadoras De Sonora, approximately a mile from her Tucson residence. Law enforcement continues their search, and a substantial $1 million reward has been announced for any information leading to Nancy’s whereabouts.

There have been reports of a second ransom note sent to the family, alleging that Nancy Guthrie died shortly after her abduction from her home in the Catalina Foothills north of Tucson. A federal law enforcement source revealed that the note described Nancy as ‘buried with nature’ but did not seek any ransom, which experts note is unusual for authentic ransom demands.

The authenticity of these notes remains unverified, and the senders unknown. According to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, both the investigators and the FBI have encountered numerous ransom communications. Some of these have been deemed fraudulent, while others might hold credibility.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing in early February from her Tucson-area home. The FBI, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, and other agencies are persistently conducting investigations. Savannah Guthrie has voiced her family’s resolve to continue the search, stating, ‘We love our mom. We’ll never stop looking for her, never.’

Fox News reporters Michael Ruiz and Adam Sabes contributed further to this report.
