A former math professor was accused of killing his wife in an incident that unfolded in Fair Oaks, Virginia. Police reported that 60-year-old Chisen Jameson was discovered with gunshot wounds after calling emergency services. During the 911 call, gunfire sounds were detected in the background, according to local reports.
Leland Jameson, aged 64, was charged with second-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. He had previously worked as a professor at George Mason University and earned his Ph.D. from Brown University.
An audio recording of his own 911 call revealed that Leland reported a domestic incident and expressed uncertainty about his wife’s injuries. Law enforcement officials found multiple firearms within the home.
Chisen Jameson had been employed as a meteorologist for Japan’s All Nippon Airways at Dulles Airport. The airline expressed its grief in a statement, mourning the loss of a valued colleague.
“All Nippon Airways is deeply saddened by Chisen Jameson’s passing. She was a vital member of our team, and her absence affects all who had the privilege of knowing her,” a spokesperson revealed.
The couple had two adult sons residing in Northern Virginia.
