Pro Wrestler and Musician Andy Williams Passes Away

Andy Williams, a professional wrestler known as The Butcher, passed away after experiencing a medical emergency during a wrestling event. Williams, aged 48, was competing alongside his tag team partner Jesse Guilmette, recognized as The Blade, at Enjoy Wrestling held at Mr. Smalls Theater in Millvale, Pennsylvania. This unfortunate incident occurred on Friday night.

The wrestling promotion reported that Williams collapsed at the end of his match. Our doctors on staff tended to him immediately, administering CPR until the ambulance arrived, they noted. We sent everyone home and are at the hospital now waiting for more information.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to TMZ on Sunday that Williams had died. The publication OutKick Dropkick contacted authorities for further comments.

Apart from his wrestling career, Williams was also a guitarist for the band Every Time I Die. He and vocalist Keith Buckley were attendees at the 2014 Gibson Brands AP Music Awards at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.

Williams had a multifaceted career, debuting in wrestling in 2015 after starting training in the early 2010s. He formed a tag team with Guilmette in 2017, known as The Butcher and The Blade. Together, they performed in several wrestling promotions like AEW, Ring of Honor (ROH), and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

The wrestling community expressed their condolences on social media following the news of his death. Williams’ musical stint in Every Time I Die spanned from 1998 until the band’s dissolution in 2022.

Williams’ career highlights include performances at events such as the Download Festival in the UK and Magnolia in Milano, Italy. His contributions to both wrestling and music are remembered by fans worldwide.
