President Trump Attends G7 Summit, Jokes About Being ‘The Boss’

7 days ago 0

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump humorously referred to himself as “the boss” during a late arrival at the G7 summit meeting in France. The gathering of world leaders took place in Évian-les-Bains.

Upon entering the meeting, Trump joked with photographers who were temporarily permitted in the room: “Would you like to stay for the meeting? It’s OK with me.” The press was later asked to leave the room.

The G7 leaders expressed their support for President Trump’s tentative peace agreement with Iran, aimed at reopening the vital Strait of Hormuz.

In a joint statement, the leaders applauded Trump’s “strong leadership” in orchestrating what they described as a “breakthrough.” They referred to the forthcoming deal—anticipated to be revealed at a signing ceremony on Friday—as a “historic opportunity to prevent Iran from acquiring any nuclear weapon.”

This is a developing story. Further details will be provided as they become available.
