Satellite imagery has shown a potential tropical storm forming in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. This weather system is currently south of Cape Verde and could develop into a tropical storm soon.
The current hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean is approaching its peak, set for September 10. Meteorologists are paying close attention to a disturbance in the region with a high chance of becoming a tropical storm.
Interestingly, if this formation reaches tropical storm status, it will be named Dolly, coinciding closely with the recent passing of the celebrated country music singer, Dolly Parton.
