Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud expressed pro-trans sentiments after a confrontation with Enes Kanter Freedom during a game against the Indiana Fever. The incident took place in the third quarter when Cloud scored, prompting the Fever to call a timeout. Her frustration was directed at Freedom who was positioned near the basket at Wintrust Arena.

Freedom approached Cloud, resulting in intervention from Sky players and security. The exact reason for their exchange remains unclear, but Freedom was removed from the arena and did not return.

Cloud did not attend the postgame media session but later posted a message on Threads supporting the transgender community. She declared, “To every trans kid/person, you are part of my community & tribe. You belong. You’re loved. You’re seen. You’re perfect as you are. & you will always be protected by me.”

Freedom has expressed interest in joining the WNBA, sparking debates about transgender athletes in women’s sports. He was wearing a t-shirt with the definition “Woman – adult human female” at the game. Upon arrival, he was met with opposition from WNBA fans.

Following his ejection, Freedom posted on social media, claiming he was removed for supporting women. He questioned the logic, stating “I just got kicked out of a @WNBA game for supporting WOMEN! Let that sink in, AMERICA!” and later added, “It’s always women hating on other women.”
