During the match against Nashville, Murakami recorded one hit from four at-bats, added one RBI, drew a walk, and scored a run, playing throughout the 6-3 defeat.
His double to center field in the first inning brought in a run, showcasing his potential impact. Murakami later flew out to left field in the third inning and popped out to the shortstop during the sixth inning. In the eighth inning, he walked and crossed home plate following a single. He ended the game with a groundout to second base in the ninth inning.
Across two games with Charlotte, Murakami is 2-for-7 with one RBI and one walk. White Sox manager Will Venable expressed satisfaction with Murakami’s performance before the game, noting that the player showed good recovery and field execution.
Murakami has been sidelined with a right hamstring strain since May 30. Venable mentioned that his return status is evaluated daily, suggesting a cautious approach to his recovery.
