Mundelein Triumphs Over Defending Champion Oswego in State Semifinal

In Peoria, Junior second baseman Devin Hill had an outstanding performance, contributing significantly to Mundelein’s 13-3 victory over Oswego. This game took place in a six-inning state semifinal at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex on Friday. Hill made a substantial impact by going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. The Mustangs’ senior ace, Shae Johnson, played a crucial role in the win. Johnson, who helped Mundelein reach the state semifinals in 2024 but was sidelined last season due to a torn labrum in her throwing shoulder, allowed three runs on six hits and one walk.
