Defense Secretary Hegseth has instructed military commanders to implement a one-day “stand down” within this month. The purpose is to allow service members the opportunity to vote in the midterm elections.

In King County, Washington, officials are already processing ballots from service members and Americans residing overseas. These ballots come in through various methods, including both mail and email.
