Tabitha Bundrick, a 39-year-old woman from Manhattan, has pleaded guilty to using fentanyl-laced drugs to kill three men, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Bundrick confessed to providing her clients with the potent synthetic opioid from April 2023 to February 2024 and then stealing their belongings, such as cell phones, sneakers, money, and watches.
District Attorney Alvin Bragg stated, “The defendant knowingly killed three people by providing them fentanyl-laced drugs.” As the victims lay unconscious, Bundrick robbed them and left them to die. In some cases, the victims were found dead by friends or family members.
“Fentanyl deaths could now cost drug dealers their lives under a new GOP proposal,” highlighted the gravity of the situation.
Bragg noted Bundrick’s actions demonstrated a “shocking indifference” to the lives of her victims. Bundrick is expected to receive a sentence of 27 years to life for multiple offenses, including three counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree assault.
The crimes began on April 30, 2023, when Bundrick met Mario Paullan, 42, and his friend on the street. She offered to sell them soap, then suggested engaging in sex for money. They followed her to an unauthorized apartment break-in, where she administered the lethal drugs.
Paullan’s friend awoke the following morning to discover Paullan deceased, with their personal items missing. Months later, Bundrick encountered Miguel Navez, 39, and delivered drugs to him at his apartment. Navez was found dead by his brother three days later, his belongings also stolen.
The final incident transpired on February 25, 2024, resulting in Abrihan Fernandez, 34, dying in his apartment. Bundrick was observed entering and leaving the Upper Manhattan apartment multiple times, carrying large bags.
Bundrick’s sentencing is scheduled for October 6.
