A 36-year-old man sustained stab wounds during a confrontation on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train. The incident took place in the Loop neighborhood on Wednesday night, according to Chicago police.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., the altercation occurred while the train was traveling in the 500 block of South LaSalle Street. The man was stabbed in the neck and left side of his body with a sharp object. The assailant fled the scene immediately following the attack.
The injured man was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he is currently in fair condition. Police are actively investigating the incident, seeking information about the suspect involved in the stabbing.
