The Social Security Administration plans to issue special Social Security cards to commemorate America’s 250th birthday. These unique cards will be available to children born between July 2 and December 31. They will feature a distinct design that includes the “Freedom 250” logo, setting them apart from the traditional blue wallet-sized cards issued over the decades.
This initiative is part of the Freedom 250 program, launched by the Trump administration last year. It aims to organize and coordinate various events in celebration of the nation’s semiquincentennial. Freedom 250 operates separately from America250, a nonprofit organization established by Congress in 2016 to manage similar festivities.
