In 2022, the Southern Poverty Law Center labeled Loomer as “an anti-Muslim bigot and conspiracy theorist.” She showed frustration over Trump meeting with NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a social democrat. Loomer criticized Mamdani, calling him a “communist jihadist.” Mamdani has denied supporting global jihad.

Poll averages by RealClearPolling from September 2-20 show Democrats with a lead of 8.5 points in a generic congressional vote. They had 50.5% against Republicans’ 42%. Trump had an average disapproval rating of 58.6% in the same period.

NBC News and Quantus Insights surveys also suggest Democrat advantages. The American Research Group recorded Trump’s approval below 30% for the first time. The New York Times/Siena University poll showed Democrats as more trusted in most policy areas, except AI.
