Lady Gaga has become a mother, according to multiple reports. Both People and Page Six have confirmed that the 40-year-old singer and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first child together. Further details about the baby have not been disclosed.
“I’m excited to be a mom,” Gaga told the New York Times in March 2025. Despite past apprehensions, she discussed her anticipation of becoming a mother. She expressed internal conflicts about balancing her passion for art and the nurturing role of motherhood.
Gaga emphasized that she wants her children to have the freedom to discover themselves. She mentioned, “I want to find ways to not impose a life they haven’t chosen.”
In a previous 2020 interview with InStyle, she marveled at the human body’s ability to nurture life. “Isn’t it incredible what we can do?” she said, reflecting on the responsibility and miracle of parenthood.
Gaga and Polansky started their relationship at the end of 2019, publicly acknowledging it in February 2020 with a shared Instagram photo. Their engagement was confirmed in July 2024 after Polansky proposed in April of the same year.
The couple appeared on the red carpet for the first time at the Venice Film Festival in September 2024 for the premiere of “Joker: Folie à Deux.” Gaga shared with Vogue how finding real love filled a missing piece in her life.
Recently, Gaga completed her Mayhem Ball tour in April. Her latest public appearance was in May at the premiere of “Apple Music Live: Lady Gaga MAYHEM Requiem” at the Grove.
