7 days ago 0

New York City will host a special ceremony at City Hall following a parade for the Knicks on Thursday. The city will distribute 600 tickets for the event through a public lottery that ends at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The ceremony is set for noon on Thursday at City Hall Plaza. It will come after a ticker-tape parade celebrating the team through the Canyon of Heroes in Lower Manhattan.

The lottery will select 300 winners, each receiving two tickets to the ceremony. Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced that winners will be notified once the lottery closes.

The event will feature speeches and musical performances. During the ceremony, Mayor Mamdani will present Knicks players with keys to the city.

“The Knicks brought together New Yorkers from every borough and every walk of life,” the mayor stated in a news release. “That’s why we’re making these tickets free and accessible.”

This celebration aims to honor the team’s championship win and unite the community.
