The Ole Miss Rebels had a remarkable season, yet Kewan Lacy views it as incomplete. “I judge our success on whether we win the ultimate prize,” he explained to Fox News Digital. Despite the challenges, the team faced significant distractions when Lane Kiffin left for LSU right before the playoffs. There was uncertainty about which assistants would remain since several followed Kiffin to LSU.

“We didn’t achieve our goal of reaching the national title,” Lacy stated, emphasizing the team’s focus on each game despite external pressures. “Football is a business now, and everyone must make their choices, but our focus remained on playing football no matter the circumstances.” He stressed the importance of maintaining a strong mindset to compete.
This season, Lacy aims for a national title with the aid of the Q-Collar. The collar, cleared by the FDA, is designed to protect the brain by applying light pressure to the neck to reduce brain movement during games. Lacy’s mother discovered the Q-Collar and suggested it, having researched its benefits for him and his brother. “It has helped me stay sharp and maximize my playtime on the field,” Lacy said, noting his mother’s influence.

Lacy believes in exploring protective options for athletes, with the Q-Collar being just one approach to enhance player safety and longevity in sports.
As an All-American, Lacy seeks additional security in games. With the return of talent like Trinidad Chambliss and numerous other players, expectations are lofty for the Rebels this year. “We have new staff and fresh talent, and by focusing on each game, we hope to go further,” Lacy enthused.

His goal is clear: “We can complete our mission this time. I am eager for what’s ahead.”
