Justin Herbert and Madison Beer Announce Engagement

7 days ago 0

Justin Herbert, the quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers, has announced his engagement to singer-songwriter Madison Beer. The news was shared through an Instagram post on Tuesday, featuring a photo of Herbert proposing with a ring box to a smiling Beer. The post was captioned, “Meet my fiancé.”

Many congratulatory messages followed from the NFL, the Chargers, and singer Gracie Abrams. Herbert and Beer were first seen together in August of last year. Beer has attended several Chargers games, and the couple was spotted sharing a kiss on the sidelines. They have also been seen at games of other Los Angeles teams such as the Dodgers and Lakers. Additionally, Herbert appeared in Beer’s music video for “lovergirl” released this spring.

The relationship has received support from Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh. When Herbert took time off from voluntary offseason workouts to travel with Beer on her tour, Harbaugh jokingly asked, “Do you need a ride to the airport?” Herbert, at 28, is about to start his seventh season with the Chargers, though the team has not yet won a playoff game during his time with them.

Madison Beer, aged 27, initially gained fame when Justin Bieber shared a video of her singing “At Last” on his social media in 2012. She released her debut single the next year, with a cameo by Bieber. Beer has been nominated for Grammy Awards in 2024 and 2025, but left the event after walking the red carpet, citing her struggles with social anxiety.
