Josh Allen: A Prominent NFL Quarterback

Josh Allen is an American athlete who plays as the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL). He is renowned for being one of the most competitive quarterbacks currently in the league.

Allen joined the Bills in 2018, having been selected as the seventh overall pick in the NFL Draft. Initially, he started as a backup to Nathan Peterman. However, he quickly took over as the starter by the second game of the 2018 season when Peterman was benched.

While Allen showed competitiveness during his first two seasons, widespread recognition came in 2020. That year, he led the Bills to their first playoff victory in 25 years and secured a division title, the first since 1995 for the team.

Before his NFL career, Allen played college football. He spent 2014 at Reedley College before transferring to the University of Wyoming in 2015. In his final season at Wyoming in 2017, he achieved 1,812 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

In 2020, Allen set records for the Bills in single-season passing yards and touchdowns. He earned the Pro Bowl award and second-team All-Pro honors. In 2021, he again led the team to a consecutive division title, the first time in 40 years.

Throughout his NFL career, Allen surpassed 17,000 passing yards and nearly 3,000 rushing yards, maintaining a 62.6% completion rate. He set an NFL record for the highest passer rating in a single postseason during the 2021 season.
